News and DatesCheerleading ClubClick on this link to see a performance by our school Cheerleading Club. Green DayWe had a whole day where we focused on our environment. We all wore something green to school, we didn't use any gas or electricity all day and every class did an eco activity/project. We invited Verulam School to film our Green Day - click here to see the video. Primary Science Quality MarkMrs Byrne and Mrs Ross attended the London award ceremony for the Primary Science Quality Mark (PSQM) in May. The school was one of four Hertfordshire Schools presented with the Silver award following an eighteen month period collating and submitting evidence to show how Science features in the Curriculum. The school is the first Infant and Nursery School in Hertfordshire to achieve the PSQM Silver Award.
Hertfordshire Quality Standards AwardOver the past two years our Early Years Team has been working hard to achieve the Hertfordshire Quality Standards Award. They have successfully completed all the modules and were presented with their award in a ceremony on 16th March 2011. Congratulations to all the members of the team on their hard work and commitment to raising standards in Early Years.
Silver Eco Schools AwardWe are very excited to have been awarded our Silver Eco Schools Award - this reflects the hard work put in by our School Eco Council - well done to them all. We have already started working towards the Green Flag Award! Have a look at our Eco Council Page to see what we are planning. Cultural WeekWe hope you enjoy these photos of our Cultural Week when the focus was on Africa. There were many exciting activities all week. The children particularly enjoyed taking part in an African drumming workshop and learning an African dance.
